Entries are now full for the British Gas Great North Swim the Extra Mile.
The inaugural British Gas Great North Swim The Extra Mile is for those who fancy challenging themselves to go that little bit further and swim two miles.
Two laps of the British Gas Great North Swim course.
Open to 16 years and over. Wetsuits are compulsory.
It is recommended that you can complete the course in less than 1 hour 45mins (this is so you don’t end up finishing in the dark as it is the finale event of the British Gas Great North Swim weekend).
Entry Price: £45- includes your entry fee, event pack (Great Swim swim hat to keep and timing chip), Great Swim souvenir medal and t-shirt, not to mention the huge sense of achievement
