I wondered if anyone who had done the GNS previously could tell me what the arrangements usually are for one's personal possessions before/after the swim. Is there somewhere secure to leave items prior to the swim and some kind of arrangement for picking them up at the other side of the lake or is it essential to have somebody on hand to look after such items and then bring them to the finishing line later on. Also are there changing/showering facilities nearby? Sorry if these seem like daft questions but I would appreciate any info anybody can offer - thanks very much

Hi,
Last year the course was a loop, so you get out near where you start. There was a tent for changing in (separate male and female), showers where you could rinse off (but no more than a dribble really so don't expect to be able to have a good shampoo!), and a tent where possessions can be stored. This was manned by a security guard, and you were given a luggage label with your race number on - in order to collect your bag you had to show your race hat/race number written on your hand, an excellent arrangement I thought.
